::Truth.::

Charlotte started to feel fear rushing through her spine. What is Luke doing and why is he treating her this way?

"Luke, please let me go," Charlotte tried to plead with her captor.

"No Charlotte. You had enough of running away from me. It's time to make you see the truth," Luke said. "I've always loved you even when you were with Dylan and you've never once saw me. Don't you know how that pains me?"

Charlotte was remorseful. All along she thought Luke was just being the perfect older brother. "I'm sorry Luke. I didn't know," was all she could answer.

"Sorry? Sorry?! That can't change anything Char. For years I've been trying to make you mine. Do you know that? I even killed Dylan just trying to get you!" Luke shouted.

Charlotte's heart froze. "You what?"

Luke laughed evily, "Yes Char. I killed Dylan. It was no accident."

Tears started to flow from Charlotte's eyes, "No Luke. This cannot be true!"

"Oh yes it is. I confronted Dylan at his office that day to tell him that you should have been mine and asked him to let you go. He refused and said I was crazy! So I trailed his car all the way back to the country and I ramped his car from behind. He got out to run towards the house and I stepped on the gas enough to hit him. Ha! That taught him," Luke recounted.

Charlotte couldn't stop crying. It was bad enough that the love of her life died so young; it hurt even more that her best friend killed him! "Stop! I don't want to hear anymore of this!"

"But you must! You have to know what I had to do just to get to you! When I saw you witnessing everything, I fled. I knew you didn't see my face but I went into hiding here for months just to be sure. Then when I found out that you let the incident pass as an accident, I came back to find you - to make you mine," Luke said, trying to wipe the tears off Charlotte's face but she quickly turned away.

"You murderer!" Charlotte screamed, "I will never forgive you let alone love you!"

Luke was furious! He raised his hand and slapped her across the face. "You will love me! I was this close to making you mine until that... that... Matt! Tell me what makes him better than me?!" Charlotte just gave him the death stare and said nothing but in her heart was nothing but fear... fear that she will be stuck here with him forever.

As Matt drove towards the position that the intelligence corp of Eisenburg detected of the possible whereabouts of Charlotte, he heard sirens following close behind. He pulled his vehicle to a stop and turned to see an entourage of police cars following behind. Matt got out of the car and waved his hands in the air, "What in the world are you guys doing?"

One of the policeman came out of his vehicle and replied, "Sir Matthew. Lord Alexanda of Eisenburg commanded us to follow you to ensure that nothing happens to you."

Matt sighed. He knew his brother would just do such a thing. He couldn't possibly chase them away and they might be good backup for a possible confrontation. "Fine. You guys can follow but stop it with the siren thing. You're just going to make that bastard run."

"Sorry sir!" the policeman said before commanding his men to do as Matt instructed. The fleet of cars revved up their engines and sped down the dusty path. There was little time left. The more they delay, the more danger Charlotte could be in.
