::The Search Is On::

As Matt rushed to take his bike, he knew he was going to need more help. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone. As much as he didn't want to do this, he had to because Charlotte's life depended on it and he dialed the number.

"Matthew, you called!" Alex said excitedly. It was rare that his brother called so quickly, "How did the proposal go?"

Matt sighed, "Alex, there is something very important I need you to help me with. Charlotte has been kidnapped! She is missing! I need to find her! Could you track her location through her cell phone?"

"Of course I will alert the intelligence team immediately. Do you want me to send out a search party too?" Alex asked.

"Not yet. Just give me whatever information you can find. I am going to find her!" Matt said with utmost determination.

"Alright. Good luck little brother," Alex said before hanging up.

Matt knew this search was not going to be easy. There are so many places that Luke could have taken Charlotte. He just needed a rough direction and hopefully a better form of transportation.

"Matt! Take this car!" Mrs Webber shouted as she ran towards him, "Mr. Grobe from the neighboring shop has kindly offered us to use his car to find Charlotte." Matt thanked Mrs Webber and the onlooking Mr Grobe. One wish down and a Charlotte to find.

Charlotte felt the strong rays of the sun hitting her face. She wanted to rub her eyes but she somehow couldn't move her hands. She slowly opened her eyes and realised that she was bounded at her hands and feet onto a char. She screamed and struggled. She wondered what happened and where was everyone - Luke... Matt..... no one was around! Charlotte looked around. She was definitely in a house but all its windows and doors were sealed shut. She was alone, somewhere out there where she felt no one could get to her.

Suddenly, a door opened and a familiar voice called out, "Charlotte! You're awake!" Charlotte squinted her eyes to figure who it was as the figure came into the light.

"LUKE! Get me out of here please!" Charlotte screamed but Luke just placed his hand on her face and said nothing. Charlotte looked into his eyes and realised something was wrong. Luke looked dazed and he acted funny.

"Luke, let me go, please, Charlotte begged once more.

"NO!" Luke screamed suddenly. Charlotte had a shock of her life. "If I untie you, you will leave me AGAIN!"

"What are you talking about Luke? What is wrong with you?"

"All these years, I watched out for you, made sure you were happy and hoped that one day you will realise how much I love you. But what do I get in the end? You falling for my best friend, Dylan and that MATT!" Luke shouted, his demeanor getting scarier with each sentence.

"I'm sorry Luke.... love can't be controlled," Charlotte said, close to tears. She didn't know what Luke can and will do to her.

"You're wrong Charlotte. You see," Luke held onto her shoulders, "I am controlling love. I am keeping the one that I love the most in all the world right here with me now and forever." Charlotte shudder at his touch and tried to inch away from him. She just hoped someone will be able to find her and soon.

Matt was speeding through highways to reach uptown where Mrs Webber suspected Charlotte and Luke to be at. He was still eagerly waiting for Alex to get some information. But until then, he only had his instincts to follow. "Charlotte, tell me where you are," Matt whispered under his breath.

Just then, his cell phone rang. He pulled his car to a screeching halt and answered, "Alex! Tell me you have good news!"

"Matt, the intelligence team just picked up the last call from her cell phone was made somewhere 10 miles from where you are. You are on the right track. The team is still trying to get the latest signal from the phone. It is apparently till switched on somewhere around the area. Meanwhile you just drive and I'll fill you in as we go," Alex said.

Matt hung up and sped towards the location Alex found. When he arrived, he noticed that the land around him was barren and it looked like a desert. There were no cars, no animals, just a strange quietness. Matt got out of the car and looked around the area for some clues on where Charlotte and Luke might be. There was just this strange calm. Nothing was moving other than his feet. Matt peered down and noticed tyre treads on the sandy floor.

"This should be them," Matt said to himself. He quickly got back into the car and tried to follow in the direction where the treads led to.

"Charlotte, I'm coming," Matt called out.
