::Drastic Turn of Events::

The night fell pretty quickly as though the heavens wanted Alex and Annanessa to get married as soon as possible. Matt sat on his window sill watching the workers work overnight getting the manor done. He understood how it felt working late into the night for the rich while the rich didn't understand their plight.

"Hey Matthew," Alex called out, "Can I speak to you for a moment?"

"Sure. What's up?" Matt asked as he walked towards his brother. Alex forced a smile and sat his brother down.

"I need to tell you something before I get married tomorrow," Alex said, he looked a little worried and shifty.

"What? You have doubts about marrying Annanessa? What?" Matt asked, really curious what his perfect brother was hiding. Alex shook his head and made Matt follow him to the dining hall where the wedding reception would be held. As Alex opened the door, Matt gasped as he saw the most wonderfully decorated hall... with his paintings he thought he sold to a gallery.

"These are my paintings! How did you get them? I thought..." Matt asked, his mind was full of questions. Alex just sighed and decided to tell Matt the truth. He wanted to buy Matt's paintings but if he approached Matt himself Matt would do it for free but Alex wanted to help Matt earn some money so he lied his way to pay for the paintings.

"I didn't mean to lie to you Matthew but I just wanted to help you," Alex said, "I'm intending to sell your paintings to the guests tomorrow. They won't know that Sir Matthew William Polster did this but just Matt Polster."

Matt didn't know what to say to his brother. Matt knew Alex meant well when he 'lied' to him but Alex didn't have to go through such means to do so. Matt felt cheated, just when he thought his works were going places... it was all a lie.

"I thought my works were beginning to get recognised. I thought my hard work paid off... it was all a fluke," Matt said as he buried his face in his hands.

"Matt, I didn't mean to. I just... I'm sorry," Alex said, "What can I do to make it up to you?"

Matt sighed and looked up at his brother. He was angry but he couldn't make himself yell at his brother but this twist of events made him decide on what to do for the rest of his life. "Mother came into my room this afternoon to ask me to stay in the manor to work. I actually wanted to accept that offer..."

"... that's great! Stay! Then we can see each other all the time!" Alex interrupted excitedly.

Matt shook his head, "I'm not done Lex... but this turn of events made me make another decision. After your wedding, I'm leaving this manor, leaving my old apartment and start anew. You won't know where I am. I will be my own man and make it on my own." Alex couldn't believe what he was hearing. He was going to lose his brother forever.

"Matthew you can't be serious. Please don't do this... I'll let you pay me back the money and I could..." Alex said, sounding really upset.

Matthew pat his brother on the shoulder, "You meant well and I promise your wedding will be perfect. I will be your best man and after the wedding, I'll leave. Have a good night Lex. I'll see you tomorrow morning, my brother." Matt turned and left the hall.

Charlotte slipped out of the hotel room while her mother was in the shower. They have been touring Eisenberg for the whole day but Charlotte had her mind on the floral decorations for Annanessa'a wedding. She wanted to slip into the manor to check that everything was ok.

As she showed her pass to the security and walked into the manor, she decided to check the decorations in the dining hall first since it was the place where the guests would be making merry and the most important piece of floral decoration was there. As she walked by the hall, she noticed a familiar figure walking away from the hall, however the figure was walking too fast for her to catch a second glimpse.

Charlotte stepped into the hall to see Alexander slumped on one of the tables looking distraught. "Sir Alexander, are you alright?" Charlote asked as she stepped closer to him. Alex looked up to see Annanessa's friend Charlotte and he smiled - finally someone that he might be able to have a second opinion from.
