::A Moment Said It All::

Matt walked back to his scooter and heaved a deep sigh. He knew he'd hurt Eva but he had to be true to his heart and Charlotte. He could not be sleeping around anymore and he needed to come clean for Charlotte.

As he drove back into the town, his mind was in a whirl but his heart knew where he was heading to - Charlotte's. He needed to see her to make his day. Somehow she brought him so much strength and vigor. It was chemistry.

As he approached the shop, it was like fate that she came out with the day's trash. As they locked eyes, Matt felt as though nothing else mattered. Charlotte smiled at him as she placed the trash by her side and watched as Matt got off the scooter. They didn't even exchange any words as Matt raced to pick her up in an embrace. It was just a picture perfect moment.

Somehow Charlotte knew Matt had a rough day and she was glad she was the first person he came to see. She felt a warm tingly feeling when they hugged and she just wanted to stay in that embrace forever. It made her feel safe and away from her problems... away from the hurt from the problems with Dylan.

"Thank you," Matt whispered into her ears, "You make everything worth it." Charlotte blushed when she heard that and tightened her grip on him.

Just at that moment, Luke came out of the shop and saw them. "Char?" he called out and Charlotte stepped back from Matt in shock.

"I thought you were taking out the trash... wondered why you took so long," Luke retorted.

Charlotte ignored Luke, picked up the trash and pulled Matt into the backalley. "I'll be back shortly," she shot back at Luke. She had a great moment it was just instantaneously spoilt.

"What happened today? Did you get the deal?" Charlotte asked as she threw the trash into the bin. Matt tucked his hands into his pockets and nodded.

"Then why are you so glum?" Charlotte asked. Matt forced a smile and shrugged his shoulders. He couldn't tell Charlotte about him sleeping with Eva and how he turned down a hot woman for Charlotte. She would probably be too disgusted with him.

Charlotte realised Matt didn't wanna talk about it and replied, "You don't wanna talk about it, it's fine. Why don't after I close my shop, we'll go have a nice dinner and you can forget all your problems?" Matt smiled and agreed.

"Alright. I'll see you later then. I have to get back to work for the big order for a wedding!" Charlotte said. Matt congratulated her before watching her rush back into the shop.

"Finally... an official date with Charlotte," Matt thought to himself. He had to find something nice to wear....

As Charlotte got back to the shop, she noticed Luke standing at the counter serving a customer but Charlotte sensed he was terribly unhappy. After the customer left, Luke approached Charlotte about the matter.

"Are you serious about that painter?" Luke asked angrily.

"He's a great artist. NOT a painter," Charlotte replied without even looking at Luke.

Luke sighed, "I'm just concerned for you Charlotte. I don't want you to get hurt again... after Dylan's accident you should know better and Dylan..." Charlotte stood up angrily and pointed her scissors at him. This is the first time Luke saw Charlotte this angry.

"DON'T EVER mention about Dylan. You have NO RIGHT to talk about him in anyway!" Charlotte said before walking away.
