::Good News One After Another::

As Matt halted his scooter to a stop outside Charlotte's home, he stuck out his hand and assisted her to alight. Though he wasn't ready to let her go but she had an early appointment with a client and he didn't want to be in the way of her work.

Matt took Charlotte's hand and walked towards her front door. They stood there facing each other, almost like teenagers again on their first date not knowing what to do at the foot of the door.

"I guess I'll see you again sometime soon?" Matt asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence between them. Charlotte nodded and thanked him for a lovely night.

"No... thank you for making it so perfect with your presence," Matt replied, pulling Charlotte closer to him. Charlotte laughed at his ability to craft out words like that. Then they gave each other a final goodbye kiss before Charlotte forced herself to leave Matt and go home. She couldn't stop smiling and recapping the kisses they shared... THREE fabulous kisses and counting.

As Charlotte stepped into her house, she noticed her mother waiting up for her. Mrs Webber instantly noticed that silly smile her daughter had on her face and instantly knew things were going well with the new found lover.

"I've never seen you so happy before for so long... what happened?" Mrs Webber asked. Charlotte tried to evade the question by heading into the kitchen for a drink but her seemingly inquisitve mother did not seem to let the matter go.

"We... had a lovely dinner..." Charlotte began but somehow she couldn't get the smirk off her face.

"And?" Mrs Webber probed, "he kissed you? That's great!"

Charlotte was flabbergasted at her mother instananeously getting at the kissing part. "Mom! You should not be encouraging your daughter like this!"

Mrs Webber laughed as though she knew it all along, "Charlotte Webber, you are definitely starting to like this boy and you are scared to admit it. To think at 26 you need your mother to start telling you what to do with your life."

Charlotte rolled her eyes and set the cup on the table, "Mom I know you care about me but things are too easly to see where they are going. Besides, I don't wanna rush into things so quickly. Not after Dylan..."

Mrs Webber hugged her daughter, "Alright. But I'm just happy you are starting to date again. I love you sweetheart."

Charlotte smiled and tightened her grip on her mother, "I love you too Mom... and thanks for being here to talk it with me."

Matt woke up to the relentless ringing of his phone. He was enjoying dreaming about the date and the kisses. Gawd, he wished that person would stop ringing him. As he gave a dreary hello, he realised it was the people who bought his paintings saying that they wanted to send the cheque over and they needed his address. He was elated!

As he fumbled to recall his address in the midst of his excitement, the people told him just how much he was being paid. As he heard the numbers, he knew all the sacrifices all these years and all the hardship paid off. He was going to make it big on his passion!

After hanging up the phone, he forgotten all about his tiredness and wanting to sleep. All he could think about was how to break the wonderful news to Charlotte and how he wanted to celebrate the good news with her. He didn't want to wait till she was done with work so he took a chance on calling her at the shop.
