::Opportunity Knocks::

Matt brought out some food just when Eva woke up from her sleep. She still looked so cute with her hair ruffled up and the blanket wrapped around her petite frame. Eva smiled at Matt and reached her arms out wide - asking for a hug. Matt sighed and walked over to hug her. It was comfortable but... it wasn't what it felt like but who it was from.

"Thank you for a wonderful night... and a possible wonderful day," Eva whispered in Matt's ear.

"You're welcome. You can go wash up and have something to eat," Matt replied blankly and pulled his blinds open. As he heard Eva hum a happy tune as she took a shower, he wondered if he would ever be as happy as Eva. She was the alpha woman everyone looked up to in the art scene but was she truly happy leading this life? Matt couldn't be sure.

As she was showering, Matt heard his phone ring again.

"That better not be Lex again. Who knows what he wants me to do at his wedding?" Matt thought to himself as he went to pick up the phone. It was an art gallery who heard about his works and wanted to purchase them for a particular event they were having - some love and wedding themed event.

"We will be sending down some of our best eyes to view your masterpieces. When would be a good time?" asked the owner of the gallery.

"Let me check with the gallery that hosts my works and I'll get the owner to contact you?" Matt replied, thinking he should talk this out with Eva first before making any decisions.

"Thank you Mr. Polster. I'll leave my contact numbers with you and do contact me as soon as you can. It was nice talking to you. I'm looking forward to seeing your work at our gallery."

Just as Matt hung up the phone, Eva came out of the shower and saw Matt's elated face. She smiled and asked what was going on. Matt told her all about the opportunity he just received and she too was excited.

"That's great! I'll arrange something immediately! This could be your biggest break!" Eva said, taking the numbers from Matt's hand and jumping onto the bed to retrieve her schedule from her bag.

Matt never saw Eva so excited about something before and he was rather warmed that someone actually cared about his success and it was someone like Eva.

"The current event will end soon and I'll get someone to clear the place as soon as they can... how about saturday? That would give them time to come down from upstate," Eva said, "should I arrange transport or..."

Before Eva could finish speaking, Matt kissed her, "Thanks for everything Eva." Eva smiled and pulled him back for more but Matt suddenly had a flash image of Charlotte. He pulled back and turned away from Eva.

"What's wrong Matty?" Eva asked.

Matt walked over to bring the tray of food to Eva, trying to pretend nothing was wrong.

"I just remembered you hadn't had anything to eat, so I wanted to get it for you," Matt said and forced a smile. Eva tilted her head and smiled at Matt.

"You're being silly. We're just having fun right?" Eva said. Matt just forced a smile. He knew the longer they continued to be like this, it might not turn out to be just fun... it might just get real...
