::The First Kiss::

Matt was in the midst of finishing his last piece of work and he decided to take a break as he was getting hungry. He hadn't eaten a morsel since morning and he needed to find something to eat. Matt checked out his fridge... There were his moulds and paints but no food...

He then decided to go to the nearest Chinese restaurant to grab some take out since he didn't have enough to pay for the tips for delivery. He picked up his coat and his helmet and opened the door. To his surprise, he saw Charlotte standing outside his door, looking a little flustered.

"Charlotte? Have you been standing here all these while?" Matt asked, looking a little puzzled, "How did you find my apartment anyway?"

Charlotte shook her head, "One of your neighbours told me where it was. I was here just for a moment. I thought you might be hungry, so I brought you some food from the buffet you missed."

Matt smiled and invited her into his house, "Thanks Charlotte, I was about to starve."

Charlotte laughed as she looked around the house. A typical bachelor pad but a tad messier because of all his artwork lying around. She placed the food on an empty spot on the table and noticed his latest pieces.

"Oh that's the project I'm working on now... It about being in love," Matt answered shyly, trying not to mention that they were all inspired by Charlotte.

"They are lovely. What is the inspiration behind your works?" she asked.

"Well, the use of oil paint reflects the viciousness of a marriage and the merging of colours show that when a couple comes together, they are individuals but they can combine to produce a whole new colour and whole new individual. The disorder of the strokes show how problems may come to a couple's way but forming order in the end with a work of art," Matt described as he guided Charlotte's hand across one of his works.

"That's a lovely meaning to your work. I like it a lot," Charlotte answered.

"Well, you're the first person to ever see it while it's still under works," Matt replied, "Shall we dine together?"

Charlotte agreed as they spent time chatting and enjoying each other's company through a simple meal of leftovers from the buffet. Matt made Charlotte laugh with his silly jokes and Charlotte gave Matt affirmation of his works and his ambitions. They didn't even realise that by the time they started washing up, it was already close to midnight.

"I could send you home," Matt offered, trying to seem gentlemanly when in his heart he'd hope she'll stay.

"I thought you wanted to show me your final piece," Charlotte asked, obviously not wanting to go back too.

Matt took Charlotte's hand and led her to his easel. Charlotte gasped when she realised that it was her on the canvas. She looked at the half finished piece closely...

"That's me..." She said.

Matt nodded, "Yes. Everything that you saw was inspired by you... And how you make me feel. I... I don't know what else to say."

Charlotte turned to Matt who was flushing at that point of time. She felt her heart draw closer to him as she reached forward and kissed him. Matt was indeed surprised but he could not resist her kisses. They were so different from any other girls'... It felt perfect.
