::Big Break!::

The shop was opening soon and Charlotte was getting the gitters. She decided to head outside to breathe in the fresh air and relax. As she went outside and saw the crate that she and Matt sat on for lunch that day... she wished that he would at least remember about today and somehow appear. That would definitely make her day.

As Charlotte's thoughts raced through her mind, she noticed a limo pass her by. It wasn't a queer sight to see an expensive car but a limo... that was way out of the league of most people in this town. She noticed it stopped a few feet away from her and started to reverse towards her.

Charlotte frowned and waited for the chauffeur to open the door... and out popped a very familiar lady. She was really tall and elegant but she had a certain perkiness about her that struck familiarity with Charlotte.

"Charry it's me!" the lady said, "Annanessa! From college!" The name made Charlotte smile and leap.

"Oh my God, Annie!" Charlotte squealed and hugged her college mate. Annanessa and Charlotte were great friends in college. Although Annanessa was a noble and Charlotte was a commoner, Annanessa treated everyone equal and they shared so many interest and times together that made them almost sisters.

"It's been so long! I saw you and I was like... that girl is so familiar and I remembered your killer eyes. Gawd, I love your eyes that made me realise that it was you!" Annanessa said. That was what Charlotte loved about Annanessa... she didn't have airs like other nobles. Annanessa was frank and open about her feelings.

"I missed those times with you. Everything's just so different now," Charlotte said.

"Yes... and I'm getting married soon!" Annanessa squealed, "He's so gorgeous."

Charlotte smiled, "That's wonderful! When will I get to meet the lucky guy?"

"I'm actually here with him but he's handling some stuff at the other side of town now but I promise you that you'll see him at our wedding up at Eisenberg. His father's the duke," Annanessa explained, "Let me have your address and I'll send you an invitation!"

"Well, this is my shop. You can send the invitation here and I can receive it too," Charlotte said, "It's our opening day today."

Annanessa gasped, "That's great! Let me see!" Annanessa pulled Charlotte's hand as she checked out the shop, "Oh my God! This is beautiful!" Charlotte smiled and introduced Annanessa to her mother.

"It's so good to see you again Mrs Webber," Annanessa said.

"You've grown so beautiful. I hardly recognised you," Mrs Webber said, "Do feel free to have something to drink and eat." Annanessa thanked her and as she was taking some food, Luke appeared and gasped.

"Oh my God, Annie?" Luke asked, "You're here!"

"Lucas! Oh man it's been so long!" Annanessa said as she ran over to hug him, "Are you two married or something by now?"

Charlotte laughed, "Us? Oh no... we're still very good friends." Luke just looked at Charlotte and he felt his heart plummet.

"That's so cute. Hey Charry, I was thinking... why not I get my wedding flowers from here? They would be perfect for my perfect wedding!" Annanessa squealed.

"Are you sure? I don't know if I have the things you need..." Charlotte answered, she wasn't sure she could accommodate Annanessa's taste and in such a short deadline.

"Oh don't be stupid. You can do it. I'm sure of that. It's settled... I'll make my wedding planner pop by one of these days and you guys can work something out. It'll be a great exposure for you and it'll be a challenge for you," Annanessa explained.

Before Charlotte could say anything else, Annanessa's chauffeur told her that her fiance was expecting them.

"I have to go darlings. I'll call you about that invitation. Bye everyone!" With that, Annanessa left.

"Oh my God! Our first big break!" Charlotte leaped for joy. While everyone was celebrating about it, Charlotte just wished Matt was there to celebrate with her too. When will he arrive? Or rather... would he arrive at all?
