::Explainations::

Charlotte just sat at the veranda, crying and staring out into the starlit sky. She wondered why did she ever trusted another man with her heart again only to have it get hurt again. She didn't know felt worse - to lose Dylan or to be lied to by Matt. Either way she knew she couldn't pick herself up again this time. She was maimed by love.

Matt search the whole hall for Charlotte but instead found Mrs Webber standing at a corner of the room. "Mrs Webber... where is Charlotte?" Matt asked.

"Who are you? Why did you have to hurt my daughter like this? She doesn't deserve this you know," Mrs Webber said, all upset and Matt couldn't blame her for her reaction.

"Mrs Webber, I'll explain everything to you once I explain it to Charlotte. I didn't mean to lie to her... please tell me where she is. I'm begging you, please." Matt pleaded. Mrs Webber saw the sincerity that he had and told him she was at the veranda.

Matt opened the door and saw Charlotte just sitting there motionless. He knew she was crying and it made his heart break. "Charlotte..." he whispered as he walked towards her. Charlotte turned her head and Matt saw her eyes were all red and swollen. Charlotte stared at Matt for a while before she tried to run back into the hall but Matt grabbed her.

"Let me go! I don't know who you are anymore! Just let me go!" Charlotte screamed and wrestled her way out of Matt's grasp but he was too strong for her. All she could do was to cry as she gave into his hold of her.

"Charlotte let me explain everything... just listen to me for a few minutes please," Matt asked as he let go of Charlotte gently. She stepped back from him but she didn't run anywhere. She just stared at him with a deadly look.

Matt sighed, "Charlotte, I didn't mean to lie to you. I don't like being Sir Matthew Polster - son of the Great Lord Polster of Eisenberg. I just want to be Matt Polster - the artist, the lover of your heart. I'm running away from all this as much as you are running away from your ex-fiance."

Charlotte gasped, "Oh don't you dare compare yourself with my situation! We are so not the same!"

Matt smacked his forehead, "Charlotte, what I mean is that all this," he pointed to his crummy suit, "is NOT the real me. The real me is who you fell in love with. All this will go away after tonight. I'm just here to support my older brother."

"Then why didn't you tell me ANYTHING? If you loved me you could have at least told me about THIS like how I was honest with you about my past. I told you I destest liars to the core and you had to come lying to me!" Charlotte screamed.

"I didn't lie to you Charlotte! I just am not proud of this. I was going to tell you at the right time," Matt said.

Charlotte rolled her eyes, "the right time? So when do you think is the right time? Now or NEVER? You would just hide everything from me if I didn't find out on my own like just now right??"

Matt flung his hands in the air, "Charlotte you are making a fuss out of nothing! Why do you have to make me feel guilty?"

Charlotte folded her arms across her chest, "Oh. So I'M making you feel guilty. Let me tell you Sir Matthew William Polster, you ARE guilty. I'm so disappointed in you. Don't ever look me up again. Enjoy your royal life, sir," With that she walked back into the hall.

"Charlotte... don't walk away... Charlotte..." Matt called but it was too late. She left.

Charlotte walked into the hall where all the guests were making merry. She just wanted to find her mother and get the hell out of this place. Finally, she found her mother talking to Annanessa at the corner of the room. Alex was right beside her, holding onto his pretty bride.

Charlotte didn't know if she could gather enough courage to talk to them... well knowing Alex was Matt's brother. However, Annanessa caught sight of Charlotte and signalled for her to go over. Charlotte felt herself put on a fake smile as she walked towards the happy couple.

"There you are I thought you disappeared after the wedding," Annanessa said as she gave her friend a big hug, "I can't thank you enough for doing all these floral decorations for us. They were beautiful." Charlotte didn't say anything but she just smiled. She looked at her mother who had eyes of concern fixed upon her daughter.

"We'll defintely recommend you to our friends. Thank you Charlotte for all your help," Alex said as he extended his hand towards Charlotte. Charlotte looked at it for a while before extending her hand for a quick handshake.

"This was a beautiful wedding and I'm happy to be part of it," Charlotte finally said, "But my mom and I have to get back home. We have a shop to open early tomorrow." Mrs Webber quickly concur. Chalotte noticed Matt coming back into the hall and he caught sight of her. She needed to get out of there fast.

"Oh it's a pity you can't stay. Why don't we send you back... we could..." Alex asked but Charlotte refused.

"Thanks for everything," Charlotte replied before taking hold of her mother and walking out of the hall. She didn't know what else to do but run.
