::It's All Charlotte::

By this time, Charlotte was already crying her eyes out and Matt could feel his shirt starting to get wet. But more importantly, he knew what was troubling her and he was glad that Charlotte chose to tell him what was bothering her.

"I'm sorry Charlotte," Matt said, "I understand everything now."

Charlotte looked up at Matt and replied, "Every night from then I started to have nightmares and recollection of that night. I couldn't even remember who killed Dylan and it pains me to think about it each time."

Matt placed his hands on her tear-filled face and looked into her eyes, "Charlotte, I want to help you through this. I'm here for you and will always be here for you."

Charlotte shook her head, "That's what Dylan said to me and..." Charlotte started crying again.

"He didn't think it would happen to him. He wanted to protect you. I know you still have feelings for him but I will be here until you are ready to accept someone new... someone like me." Matt said.

Charlotte was so touched by his sensitivity that she reached over and hugged him, "Thank you Matt." Matt gently kissed her on the cheek and decided to send her home.

The phone rang for the umpteenth time that night and Mrs Webber was hesitant to pick it up knowing that it could be Lucas for the umpteenth time too. Finally she decided to pick it up again, hoping she could get Lucas to stop calling.

"Mrs Webber I'm sorry to bother you again," Lucas said, "I just wanted to know if Charlotte's home. I'm just worried..."

Mrs Webber sighed, "Lucas... I already told you she's still not home and I'll get her to call you once she is home. You don't have to call every five minutes. It's not going to make her come home any sooner."

Lucas apologised and hung up. Mrs Webber felt guilty for making the poor boy so upset. She knew Lucas was interested in her daughter but she knew her daughter only treated him as a very good friend. She tried her best to keep what Charlotte told her at the shop from Lucas as long as she could hold it in.

About half an hour later, Charlotte appeared through the door with a big smile on her face. Mrs Webber instantly knew whom she was with.

"You're back late," Mrs Webber commented. Charlotte apologised and hugged her mother. Just then the phone rang.

"You might want to pick that up," Mrs Webber said, "It's Lucas. He's been calling here all night." Charlotte picked up the phone and true to her mother's words. It was Lucas.

"Where have you been all night? I was rather worried," Lucas said.

Charlotte sighed as she walked to her room, "I just went out to relax and take a break from everything at the shop."

"Have you had dinner? Do you want me to bring you something?" Lucas asked. Charlotte gently declined and Lucas continued to rattle on with questions.

"Are you tired? Have you taken your shower? Do you need help at the shop tomorrow, so you won't be so tired?" Luke continued asking.

Charlotte groaned, "Luke... I'm a big girl and I know how to take care of myself. If you're busy with your work, then you don't have to come by the shop. Mom and I can handle it. Good night Luke." With that Charlotte just slammed down the phone. She could not take his rambling any longer. She didn't want to think about anything else except Matt and the way he made her smile genuinely again.
