::The Winds of Change::

Matt was finally done with his works and he looked at it with a smile on his face. He could never be happier with what he's done... especially with an inspiration as beautiful as Charlotte. All he hoped now was that the judges would be happy with it and they would be willing to display his works.

Just as he was putting on the final touches to his works, he heard a truck roll into the streets. It should be Eva coming in to bring it over to the gallery. Matt leaped for joy and quickly put everything in order.

"Hey Matty! All done?" Eva asked as Matt brought her up to his place to view the final pieces. Matt was just happy what Eva looked stunned and amazed at his works.

"These are just so beautiful! These are defintely your best works to date! Matty you've done it! You are going to be huge," Eva said and hugged him. Matt was happy to hear that Eva liked it.

"You must remember me when you make it big... maybe... we could..." Eva whispered into Matt's ear before she licked it. Matt felt a little awkward and stepped back from her.

"I will remember you as my curator and one of the people who stood by me when I was just a poor artist," Matt said before pretending to get busy with his works again. Eva felt that Matt's behaviour had change and he wasn't as loving towards her as he'd used to.

"Maybe he's just worried and nervous about today. Forgive him. He'll lighten up after all these," Eva though to herself before she went over to help Matt organise the move of the artworks into the truck.

The next morning, Charlotte was up early and prepared breakfast for her mother. Mrs Webber had been working day and night for the shop and Charlotte felt guilty for making her mother work for her. So she decided to do something special for her.

When Mrs Webber woke up, Charlotte pulled her into the kitchen and served up a good breakfast.

"Wow, someoe is in a happy mood today," Mrs Webber said, "What happened over at Matthew's place?"

Charlotte shot her mother a frown, "Mom! Nothing happened! We just... had dinner... talked..."

"... and?" Mrs Webber interrupted, somehow mothers always know that their daughters were hiding things.

"Nothing! Mom! Why are you so inquisitive these days? First it was Luke... now Matt..." Charlotte retorted as she set opposite her mother for breakfast. Mrs Webber smiled and reached out her hand to hold her daughter's hand.

"I just want you to be happy. That's all," she replied. Charlotte smiled and gave her mother an assuring smile.

After breakfast, Charlotte and her mother walked and talked the whole way to the shop. As they approached it, they notice Luke sitting on the hood of his car, waiting for them. When he saw them, his face lit up but Charlotte heaved a sigh.

"Charlotte, you have to tell Lucas. You have to be honest with him... think about all the things he's done for you. You should at least return that bit of favour to him," Mrs Webber said softly.

"Don't worry mom. I know what to do," Charlotte said and approached Luke as Mrs Webber opened up the shop.

"Charlotte... I'm sorry," Lucas said as he presented her with a bouquet of flowers. Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"Luke, if you've not forgotten, I own a flower shop you know," Charlotte retorted.

"Char, I know you are unhappy with me and I want you to know that I'll not bother you so much. I just want to support you through everything... you know... as your... friend," Luke said but he found it hard to say those last words.

Charlotte placed her hands on Luke's shoulder, "Luke you will always be my best friend."

Luke forced a smile, "Then promise me you would let me do something for you. Don't say no to me this time." Charlotte frowned and wondered what was on his mind.

Luke took a deep breath and finally got up the courage to say it.

"Charlotte, I want to work with you here in the shop. I could help in financing, marketing... anything!"

Charlotte was just shocked. She didn't know what to say or what to do...
