::The Truth Pops Out Eventually::

Matt was making the last amendments to the placement of his pieces while Eva was preparing the other nitty grittys before the judges came to her gallery. Eva had been great. She even made sure refreshments and finger food has a similar theme and look to Matt's pieces.

After he was done, he finally caught Eva for a moment to thank her. "Hey Eva, everything in the gallery looks great," Matt said, "I can't thank you enough for doing this for me."

Eva smiled and leant forward to kiss Matt but Matt gently dodged her lips and reached into give her a hug. Eva was a little surprised but she thought it might be that he was just nervous and didn't want everyone to see them close.

"Everything will be fine. I'm sure they will love your paintings," Eva replied, "I've looked at them and as your curator... they are delicious."

Just then a couple of cars rolled into Eva's driveway... they were the judges. Though they were from upstate, they were hired by Alexander to purchase Matt's pieces for his wedding. He didn't want to do it personally because he knew Matt would just do it for free and knowing Matt's financial situation, Alex had to stage this.

"Don't worry Sir Alexander, we know what to do," one of the judges said, "We'll send the pieces to London and then to your abode within 2 weeks."

"Thank you. Please make sure the curator nor the artist knows about this arrangement," Alex said over the phone.

"We will take extra precautions," the judge replied.

Just as they hung up, Eva and Matt came out from the gallery to meet them. They shook hands and did all the formalities before heading into the gallery where Matt explained every single piece to them. He was fully unaware that even before he said anything about them, they were already sold and for a very high price.

"Mom, Luke is coming in as a partner for this shop," Charlotte laid the bomb on her mother while they were taking a break outside while Luke was tending the shop.

"What? are you sure this is a good idea?" Mrs Webber asked.

Charlotte shrugged, "I'm not sure either. He initially wanted me to hire him as an employee but I can't imagine hiring my own best friend, so I made him my partner. I'm sure he'll make this shop even better with his business skills. Besides, he's a guy and he can help with the heavy stuff. What do you think?"

Mrs Webber thought to herself for a moment if she should tell Charlotte about Lucas' infactuation with her but she realised it wasn't her position to stop Lucas from adoring her daughter... as long as it wasn't disrupting their lives or their work.

"Charlotte, this is your shop and I'm sure you'll make the best decisions for it. If you think Lucas is a beneficial person for the business then I have no objections. I just hope you know what you are doing," Mrs Webber explained.

Just at that moment, Lucas interrupted their chat, "Sorry to interrupt but Annanessa's wedding planner called and he would be coming down tomorrow to view some samples."

After hearing that, Charlotte jumped as it was their biggest client to date. "I'll get stuff ready then!" Mrs Webber watched as her daughter entered the shop with her best friend. She quietly said a prayer and prayed Charlotte would not get hurt again.

"I can't believe everything was sold... just like this!" Eva said once the judges left. She continued to gush about how great Matt was and how it was a great opportunity for him to become the artist he always wanted to be. Eva was so excited that she leaped into Matt's arms, saddling him from the waist. Matt had to catch her as he was afraid she would fall.

"I couldn't have done it without you, Eva," Matt said as he let her down. Eva gave him a sultry smile and reached in for a kiss.

"Eva... I can't." Matt finally brought up the courage to say, "I... I can't do this with you anymore."

Eva was shocked and got a little defensive, "What? I'm too good for you now? After all we've gone through for you for this..."

Matt interrupted, "No no! What I mean is I appreciate you as a friend but... we can't continue to have sex anymore. I... I found someone that I want to commit myself to."

Eva couldn't register what Matt just said. All she could do was to shove him out of the door with his things and slam the door in his face. All she felt then was hurt and dire rejection.
